Mission
The goal of Project Janell is to commemorate her life by continuing the good she did while she was alive. We strive to increase awareness of bacterial meningitis which is a dangerous and sometimes deadly disease that is often hard to detect.
Janell was an organ donor, and because of this was able to save peoples' lives as her final action here on earth. Because of this we are encouraging other people to check the little box for organ donation on their drivers' licenses or sign up with organ donation registries.
Finally, we have the goal of raising money for research and funding associated with these two causes. Right now, we are doing this through PJ shirts, which are still available in limited quantities. If we receive an overwhelming interest in t-shirts in the near future, we may put in another order as well. Ideas for further fundraising include selling small bears with PJ and organ donation logos on them, rubber wrist bands, or even hand crafted items. We may also add a memorial wall where loved ones or survivors can remember other people who have had meningitis or people who have donated or been affected by organ donation.
Once we get this site up and running more, we will also try to add a blog page for communications between viewers of the site and possibly a donation page.
